The Texas Cannabis Policy Conference was a big success! BIG THANKS to all of our generous sponsors, outstanding speakers, incredible volunteers, and everyone who attended the conference. Together, we will make a positive impact on the cannabis polices when the Texas Legislature convenes in January!
The conference was covered by several local and statewide media outlets, amplifying our voices and the resounding message we delivered over the weekend: it's time for more sensible cannabis policy in Texas!
Event photos and videos are being processed. Photos will be a posted here and on social media in 7-10 days. Videos will take a bit longer to get from the University. Sign up for our email list to receive an update when they're available.

To get an idea of how those working to push Texas’ cannabis industry forward feel about the current state of affairs and what’s to come, LoneStarLive.com spoke with Heather Fazio, the founding board member of Texans for Responsible Marijuana Policy, which is hosting the Texas Cannabis Policy Conference at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, from Thursday, Sept. 12, through Saturday, Sept. 14.
"During a panel discussion moderated by cannabis law professor Scott Seder at the Texas Cannabis Policy Conference, attorney Susan Hays reflected on what it took for the Lone Star State to create its very limited medical marijuana program."
“Moral of the story is, be patient. Keep working. Don’t give up, because time is on our side. We are in the right places. We are the ones that are on the right side of history,” Zamhariri said. “The proof is the leading Republican nominee for president of the United States has openly come out and said that people should not be going to jail for small amounts of marijuana.”
