Texas Cannabis Policy Conference

Programming will feature Opening and Closing Plenary Sessions, two Keynote Luncheons, and 18 Breakout Sessions connecting stakeholders, industry leaders, and policy experts. Topics will explore the issues shaping Texas’s cannabis landscape, including:


  • Medical Cannabis – Expanded patient access and opportunities within the Texas Compassionate Use Program.
  • Hemp Regulation & Enforcement – Agency coordination, oversight, and enforcement.
  • Public Health & Safety – Youth access prevention, product safety standards, and responsible consumption.
  • Industry Accountability – Testing, compliance, and best business practices.
  • Patient Protections – Employment, parental rights, and gun rights.
  • Advocacy & Civic Engagement – Building effective movements and preparing for the 2026 elections and 2027 legislative session.
  • Federal Policy & National Trends – The broader context shaping Texas’s future.


The Texas Cannabis Policy Conference is a nonpartisan, educational event designed to foster informed dialogue and forward thinking. Sessions emphasize professionalism, transparency, and civic responsibility, encouraging collaboration among regulators, industry leaders, and the public.

The Thompson Conference Center is located on the southeast corner of Dean Keeton and Robert Dedman streets, which is the northeast corner of UT Austin’s main campus in central Austin. 

Parking on Campus

TCC Parking Lot 40: 2500 Red River Street, Austin, Texas 78712


Complimentary parking available in Lot 40, which is located at the intersection of Red River at Dean Keeton streets. The entrance is off of Red River St. (NOTE: If you use the building's address, it will take you to the front doors, with no parking options.)


If necessary, additional paid parking is available nearby in Manor Garage (MAG) on Clyde Littlefield Drive. Additional University Parking 101.

Conference guests may choose to stay anywhere, including AirBNB/Vrbo for more privacy, but we have secured a discounted group rate of $139/night (+ $15/night for parking) at the DoubleTree, located just minutes from the Thompson Conference Center.
