David Bass
David Bass served in the U.S. Army for 25 years. He is a veteran of Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. David served in Iraq with the 1st Cavalry Division in 2004-2005. When he returned to Fort Hood, David was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
David was treated with psychotropic medications for PTSD and opioids for chronic pain from injuries. In 2012, David started using medical cannabis instead of pills. David was the Director of Veteran Outreach for Texas NORML from 2013 to 2021 and he founded Texas Veterans for Medical Marijuana in 2015.
